OB2263 provides complete protection coverage and automatic self-recovery features, including cycle-by-cycle current limiting (OCP), overload protection (OLP), VDD overvoltage clamping, and under voltage lockout (UVLO). The gate drive output is clamped to a maximum of 18V to protect the power MOSFETs. Because of the device's low VDD startup current and low operating current performance, large value resistors can be used in the startup circuit to minimize standby power consumption. Its internal slope compensation improves system large-signal stability and reduces subharmonic oscillations that can occur with high PWM duty cycle outputs.
