Definition:
Fixed-frequency Antminer: It means that the operating frequencies of the three hash boards of the miner are exactly the same, and it can also be judged by the hash rate of the miner.
Auto-frequency Antminer: It means that the operating frequency and the hash rate of the three hash boards of the miner are different. The auto-frequency miner will automatically configure the frequency of the miner and cannot be modified manually.
Antminer Models
The difference between the firmware of fixed-frequency miner and auto-frequency miner.
When upgrading the fixed frequency miner, select the latest firmware corresponding to the hash rate to upgrade.
S9 has three hash board versions: 11.85T-550M, 12.93T-600M, 14T-650M. All models of S7 and before are fixed frequency machines.
When the S9, R4, and T9 automatic frequency machines upgrade their firmware, the same type of mining machine uses the same firmware, so there is no need to distinguish the difference between hash rate and frequency. For example, S9-12T and 13.5T machines use the same firmware.
Auto-frequency miner because each hash board runs at a different frequency, three hash boards will display 3 different hash rates. This is normal. As long as the total hash rate is qualified, this machine will have no problem.
