When the Chain2 load EEPROM error is displayed in the Antminer L7 kernel log, it means that the L7 miner hash board chip file is damaged, and you can troubleshoot by the following operations.
Troubleshooting:
Use the hash board code editor to rewrite the EEPROM program.
The principle of hash board code editor:
Synchronize the hash boards with different serial numbers inside the miner to make it the same as the normal hash board serial number so that the miner can start and work normally.
Our approach is to read one of them and save the data, then write the data to the other hash board.
The specific operation steps are as follows:
1. Start operation: read data
Note: Please disconnect the power supply of the mining machine before operation; this operation does not need to supply power to the hash board.
First, click the "NF" button to enter the function menu.
1) Insert the data cable into the hash board that needs to read the data;
2) Select (eerpom setting) on the device and click the "OK" button;
3) Select (read eerpom) and click the "OK" button;
4) Enter the model you want to mark, then move the cursor to the lower right corner and click the "OK" button to save the data;
5) At this point, the device will return to the initial interface.
2. Start operation: write data
First, click the "NF" button to enter the function menu.
1) Insert the data cable into the hash board that needs to write data;
2) Select (eerpom setting) on the device and click the "OK" button;
3) Select (open eerpom) and click the "OK" button;
4) Find the data file you just saved and click the "OK" button to confirm;
5) At this point, the device will return to the initial interface again; please click the "OK" button to write the data to the hash board.
3. Complete data writing
After clicking the "OK" button, the prompt tone of the device is once, indicating that the writing is successful. The prompt tone is twice, indicating that the writing failed.
Schematic diagram of results:
①: File name
②: Number of successful writes
③: Number of write failures
