The general Antminer failure problems mainly include: unable to find the IP of the miner, inability to power on the miner, low hash rate of the miner, and no hash rate. We have summarized relevant content references for these four common problems to help everyone analyze the causes of miner failures and provide effective solutions.
Problem 1: The miner cannot find the IP
(1)Network problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Mining pool exception | All three mining pool information are wrong, change the valid mining pool information. |
The network configuration is incorrect | If the IP can be obtained, directly enter the background to change. If the IP cannot be obtained, reset and enter the background to change. |
External network disconnection | Check the network cable and replace it with a new one; check the switch and check whether the network is connected. |
For more detailed solutions to network problems, please refer to the article Unable to connect to the Internet or find IP of the miner.
(2) Control board problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Control board configuration is incorrect | Restore the control board program by flashing the SD card. |
Damaged control board | If the control board fails, the control board needs to be removed or replaced. |
For detailed steps on flashing the SD card recovery control board program, please refer to the article card flashing and upgrade tutorial.
Problem 2:Miner can't get power
(1) Power problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Power cable is damaged | Plug and unplug the powe cable, upgrade the firmware, or replace the power supply. Check whether the power copper strip screws are tightened. If it does not work, it needs to be removed for repair. |
Problems with the power supply itself | |

Problem 3: Miner don't have hashrate
(1) Abnormal temperature
Failure cause | Solution |
High temperature protection | It needs to be powered off and restarted to resume normal operation. |
Temperature sensor abnormality | If there is an abnormality in the hash board, you can try to upgrade the firmware or card flash, or replace the power supply. If the problem still cannot be solved, you need to return it to the factory for repair. |
Please refer to the article for normal operating temperature Miner normal operating temperature range.
Reading temperature sensing abnormality, please refer to the article How to judge the high-temperature protection of miners and solutions?

(2) Control board problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Control board configuration is incorrect | SD card flashing recovery control board program |
Control board damaged | If the control board is faulty, the control board needs to be removed or replaced. |
Please refer to the article for detailed steps of SD card flashing recovery control board program card flashing and upgrade tutorial.
(3) Fan abnormality
Cause of malfunction | Solution |
Fan cable is loose | The fan cable needs to be plugged in tightly. |
Fan damaged | The corresponding fan needs to be replaced. |
For frequently asked questions about Antminer fan, please refer to the article:

(4) No output from power supply
Cause of malfunction | Solution |
Power supply damaged | The power supply needs to be replaced. |
The screws on the power copper strip are loose | It is necessary to tighten the screws of the power copper bar. |
For methods of troubleshooting power supply faults, please refer to the article:

Why the Antminer (non-all-in-one) cannot be turned on
(5) Hash board problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Hash board signal abnormality | The cable needs to be re-inserted. If the following situations occur, it generally requires return for repair: When it is detected that the hash board chip is incomplete, the hash board hardware version is abnormal, PIC is abnormal, abnormal stemperature sensor, EEPROM and other abnormalities are detected, the miner directly turns off the power supply of the hash board to protect the miner, and that is the miner has 0 hash rate. |
Missing chip | |
Missing board protection |

(6) Firmware abnormality problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Miner model does not match firmware | Please refer to the article for solutions Why can't I upgrade the firmware or the firmware upgrade fails? |
Firmware file is damaged |
Problem 4: Low hash rate for miners
(1) Hash board problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Hash board is missing board | It is necessary to re-plug the cable. In the following situations, it is generally necessary to return for repair: When it is detected that the hash board chip is incomplete, the hash board hardware version is abnormal, PIC is abnormal, temperature sensor is abnormal, EEPROM and other abnormalities are detected, the miner directly turns off the power supply of the hash board to protect the miner, that is, the miner's hash rate is 0. |
Chip unstable | |
Hash board cable is loose |
For solutions to common hash board problems, please refer to article Possible problems and solutions for S7, S9 (fixed-frequency) & L3+.
(2) Control board problem
Failure cause | Solution |
The control board cable interface is abnormal | Carefully check the control board cable interface. |
For detailed steps on SD card flashing recovery control board program, please refer to the article card flashing and upgrade tutorial.
(3) Internet problem
Failure cause | Solution |
Network unstable | Please refer to the article for solutions Unable to connect to the internet or find IP of the miner. |
