During the use of the Iceriver KS series control board, some fault phenomena of abnormal power consumption may be encountered. As the control core of miners, the control board must maintain its normal operation. This article aims to provide a power voltage troubleshooting guide to quickly solve problems.
Example diagram of control board
I. To accurately determine whether there is a voltage fault in the control board, it is first necessary to understand the normal power consumption of different models of KS series miners. The following is a reference data table for the power consumption of some KS series complete machines:
Model | Version | PSU | Voltage | Power |
KS3 | All versions are the same | 12V | 3200W | |
KS3L | sy0811_ks3L_miner/sy0808_v2 _ks3L_miner | BP-H-3640 | 14V | 2700W |
KS3L | sy0811_ks3L_miner | AP276 | 13.5V | 2550W |
KS3L | sy0808_v2 _ks3L_miner | AP276 | 13V | 2410W |
II. Fault problems and solutions:
1. Problem: The power consumption of the complete machine fails to reach the power consumption in the above data table, and the web background cannot be logged in.
2. Solution:
• First, check the status of the LED lights and observe whether the two blue LED lights on the control board at D1 and D6 are on.
• Measure the voltage values of TP3, TP4, TP5, and TP6 on the control board. The normal voltage values are TP3 = 1.0V, TP4 = 1.8V, TP5 = 1.5V, and TP6 = 3.3V.
• When the above voltage data are all within the normal range and one of the LED lights is on (D1 or D6), and the current value is about 0.08~0.1A, this indicates that the system is not started. Then it is necessary to check SOC, DDR, and FLASH.
• Measure the voltage value at both ends of resistor R22 according to the following figure. When the voltage value on both sides is about 1.5V, it may be that the program in FLASH is abnormal or FLASH is damaged; when the measured voltage is about 0.69V, it means that FLASH and SOC are normal. If the system cannot be entered at this time, it is most likely that DDR is abnormal. Exceeding this current means there is a short-circuited device in the circuit.
Note: When troubleshooting, please ensure electrical safety, strictly follow relevant specifications, and wear insulating protective equipment to protect your own safety. If an individual cannot solve the fault problem, it is recommended to contact professional maintenance personnel for further inspection and repair.
Through the above content, we can quickly locate and solve the voltage failure problems encountered during the use of the Iceriver KS series control board to ensure the stable operation of miners.
