After the cooling tower is put into operation, it is necessary to regularly check the operation status and pay attention to the following points:
1. After the cooling tower enters the water, it must be strictly controlled. The damaged water pipes and nozzles should be replaced in time so as not to affect the water distribution or damage the water spray device. If there are sundries, they should be removed in time;
2. The content of suspended solids in spray water is generally controlled below 20mg/L. When the content of suspended solids increases, appropriate water treatment agents should be added for treatment. In long-term operation, the addition of scale inhibitors should be considered. It is recommended to change the spray water twice a year;
Table 1 Recommended standard for spray water
Cooling water quality | |||||
Items | Reference value | Tendency
Corrosion | Fouling | ||||
Basic Items | pH (25°) | 6.5-8.0 | O | O
Conductivity (25°) | μS/cm | <800 | O | O
Chloride (Cl⁻) | mg (Cl⁻)/L | <200 | O
Sulfate ion (SO₄²⁻) | mg (SO₄²⁻)/L | <200 | O
Acid consumption(pH = 4.8) | mg(CaCo3)/L | <100 | O
Hardness | mg(CaCo3)/L | <200 | O
Reference Items | Iron Fe | mg(Fe)/L | <1.0 | O
Sulfide S²⁻ | mg(S²⁻)/L | not checked out | O
Ammonium NH+ | mg(NH+)/L | <1.0 | O
Silicon oxide SO2 | mg(SO2)/L | <50 | O
Note: O represents a factor related to corrosion or fouling tendency. |
3. If abnormal phenomena are found in the fan system, it should be stopped immediately for inspection and troubleshooting. The blades should be repaired or replaced according to the actual erosion and wear conditions to ensure that the cooling tower is in good operating condition;
4. During the use of the cooling tower, if it is found that the water loss is too much, the manual replenishment device should be used to replenish the water in time, and the water collector should be checked for damage and water leakage in the water collection tank;
5. It is required to clean the inside and outside of the tower once a year to prevent the accumulation of dirt and affect the smooth flow of water;
6. After the cooling tower is shut down, the water remaining in the sump and pipeline must be emptied. If the downtime is long, the entire tower should be checked to ensure the next operation is safe and normal;
7. Flammable materials such as fillers and water collectors are strictly prohibited from contact with open flames during use or maintenance;
8. Under the freezing temperature in winter, the system will switch to dry cooling mode. At this time, it is necessary to empty the residual water in the sump and pipeline to prevent damage to the equipment caused by freezing;
9. The filter inside the water collection tank needs to be cleaned once a month to prevent damage to the spray pump caused by a dirty blockage;
10. The PVC fillers should be washed regularly, and try not to operate if the cooling water temperature is higher than 50 degrees.
Note: This is the water-cooled container parameter of the AVIC 1.3 version. If your product is from other manufacturers or versions, it may differ slightly from this parameter. This parameter is for reference only.
