How to overclock Whatsminer with P221F power supply?

In the realm of Bitcoin mining, having an efficient and stable power supply is crucial for ensuring the optimal performance of your mining rigs. The Whatsminer P221F power supply, designed specifically for overclocking, provides excellent safety and stability and significantly boosts the hash rate of Whatsminer units, thereby enhancing mining efficiency and profitability. Whatsminer P221F power supply can be used in Whatsminer M20S, M21S, M30S, M30S+, M30S++, M50 series air cooling models. This article uses Whatsminer M30S++ 108T to explain the installation steps of the P221F power supply, helping you fully realize its overclocking potential.

The Whatsminer P221F overclocking PSU kit includes 1 power unit, a fixed bracket, an anti-slip pad, conductive copper strips, two cables, and six mounting screws.

Installation Steps:

1. Remove cooling fan

Remove the 140mm case fan and the 60mm power supply fan to upgrade to a water or oil cooling system.

2. Install bracket

Peel off the adhesive backing on the anti-slip pad and attach it to the bottom of the bracket. Remove the middle screw, place the P221F in the original power supply’s position, and secure it using the bracket.

3. Remove the control board cover

Use a screwdriver to remove the screws from the cover and disconnect the data cable plug linked to the control board.

4. Replace the conductive copper strips

Remove the six-hole conductive copper strip from the original PSU and replace it with the four-hole copper strip provided with the P221F, securing it in place.

5. Connect the positive and negative cables

Use the positive and negative power cords to connect the 2 power supplies; connect the thin power cord from the P221F to the original power supply of the Whatsminer M30S++.

6. Connect the control board

Reconnect the data cable to the control board and secure the cover with screws.

7. Connect the power cable and test

For testing and verification, put the M30S++ with a P221F power supply into a water/oil cooling device. If the power supply is installed and used correctly, it will be possible to overclock the M30S++ to 140T.
