Bitmain Antminer S21 and KS5 power supply APW17 1215a replacement instructions

The APW17 1215a PSU is designed for Antminer S21, S19j XP, KS5, and KS5pro air-cooled miners. Its input voltage is 220V to 277V, and its output voltage is 12V to 15V. The net weight is 3.9 kg. It has built-in under-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, and other protection functions to ensure stable and reliable electricity for the normal operation of miners.

When we find that the miner cannot run after powering on, the cooling fan does not spin, or the network port light goes out, this is most likely caused by a power failure. At this time, the malfunctioning APW17 1215a PSU should be replaced promptly to help miners quickly restore power.

Steps to quickly replace a faulty APW17 1215a PSU:

1. Turn off the miner, remove the protective cover plate above the control board and PSU, unscrew the fixing screw of the conductive copper sheet, and unplug all cables on the PSU.

2. Unscrew the power supply fixing screw, push it out along the direction of the miner's air outlet, and remove it. If necessary, send the non-operating PSU for repair.

3. Align the new APW17 1215a with the track on the side of the miner case, slide it in and fix it in its original position (check whether the power supply is in good condition before installation).

4. Tighten the fixing screws of the PSU and conductive copper bars. Ensure the connection to the hash board is reliable and the PSU does not fall out.

5. Inserting all cables and ensuring the connections are secure, install the protective cover plate for the control board and power supply unit to prevent dust from entering.
