Tutorial for replacing the Antminer E9 Pro C85 control board

Bitmain designs the Antminer E9 Pro C85 control board for professional-grade Ethereum miners. It uses 4 1*4p fan interfaces and has multiple connection interfaces, stability and durability, advanced heat dissipation management, and monitoring functions.

The C85 control board may malfunction after running the miner for a long time, potentially leading to downtime, performance degradation, network connectivity issues, overheating due to ineffective heat dissipation, data loss or corruption, and frequent reboots or inability to start. These issues can significantly impact the miner's normal operation and sustained profitability. It is recommended to replace the control board immediately to restore the device's stability and efficiency.

Steps to replace the Antminer E9 Pro C85 control board:

1. Cut off the powering to the miner to ensure it is completely powered off.

2. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws on the miner's outer shell and carefully remove the control board protective case.

3. Disconnect all cables connected to the control board, including the hash board data cables, fan cables, control board power cables, voltage regulation cables, etc.

4. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws securing the control board and carefully push it out from the slot and remove the control board.

5. Slide the new C85 control board into the slot, place it correctly, and secure it with screws.

6. Reconnect all cables to the new control board and ensure all connections are secure particularly the power and fan interface cables.

7. Reinstall the protective casing and secure it with screws.

9. Finally, test the miner by connecting the power supply, starting the miner, and checking the operation of the control board and fans to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
