With its high airflow and premium metal bearing, DZ06038B12XG 12V 2.16A PSU cooling fan becomes the best replacement of Whatsminer faulty PSU fan. It's suitable for various models such as P21, P221B, P221C, P222B, P222C etc., helping the miner's power supply dissipate heat efficiently to maintain its stable operation and extend its lifespan.
The PSU fan has four different versions with different connectors and cable sequence:
Version 1, 2, 3 have different connectors but the same cable sequence: black-negative, yellow-signal, blue-control, red-positive;
Version 4 has the same connector as version 1 but a different cable order: black-negative, red-positive, yellow-signal, blue-control.
Typically, version 1 is suitable to the older power supplies like P21, while version 4 is used to the newer ones like P221 and P222.
As miners operate under high loads for a long time, the power supply fan needs to work continuously to cool the PSU, making it one of the most vulnerable components. If the miner appears abnormal noise or temperature rise, there may be some malfunctions of the PSU fan. If it is not replaced in time, it will not only affect the normal operation of the miner, but may even damage other components.
Making the P222C power supply of the M30 miner as an example, the replacing steps of the PSU fan are as follows:
1. Disconnect the miner from the powering outlet, remove the protective cover above the control board.
2. Remove the fixing screws on both sides of the PSU and the conductive copper sheet connected to the PSU. Disconnect the cables connected to the inlet fan and the control board, then unplug the outlet fan connector. Carefully remove the power supply.
3. Disassemble the PSU protective case, locate the faulty fan.
4. After removing the fixing screws of the fan protective net, unplug the fan connector and take out the fan.
5. Confirm that the new DZ06038B12XG power supply fan is in good condition, ensuring its connector and cable sequence match the P222C PSU perfectly.
6. Align the new fan with the installation position, ensure the correct orientation, then secure it with screws.
7. Insert the PSU fan connector into the fan interface of the power board, ensuring a secure connection.
8. Reassemble the miner after re-installing the protective case.
9. Connect the power cord to restart the miner, check if the new power supply fan is working properly.
PSU fans enhance power supply stability and extend the its lifespan through efficient heat dissipation, providing reliable support for the miner's operation. They play an indispensable role in electronic devices, creating a safer, more efficient, and stable digital world for us.
