How to use 18V boost module to repair Antminer KA3 S19 L7 S19XP hash board?

When we are repairing the Antminer S19, T19, S19pro, S19XP, KA3, D7, L7 hash board, if some components of the boost circuit cannot be repaired or are damaged, we can install the Antminer 18V boost module to replace the original circuit and quickly restore it to normal operation.

The maximum output voltage of the module is 18V, and it has functions such as thermal overload protection, undervoltage lockout, and current limiting.

The structure of the 18V boost module:

It consists of a boost chip, an inductor, a diode, a fuse resistor, and a filter capacitor, and there is no device on the back.

Steps to install Antminer 18V boost module (making S19 hash board as an example):

Prepare tools: Antminer S19 hash board, 18V boost module, voltage regulator, multimeter, cable, soldering iron, hot glue gun

Place the Antminer S19 hash board on the workbench and find the location of the 18V boost circuit.

Before installing the module, the original boost chip needs to be removed.

Find the filter capacitor at the input end, connect its positive pole to the input terminal on the module; the negative pole to the ground terminal.

The output end of module can select any one of these filter capacitors (C57, C58, C55, C1313, C1314), and we take C1314 as an example.

Before connecting it to the output of the boost module, we need to test the positive and negative poles of C1314 with a multimeter.

After confirming all the ports, we used a soldering iron to solder the cables to the 18V boost module.

Then use a soldering iron to solder the cable to the boost module and filter capacitor together.

All ports are connected.

Re-power the hash board and check whether the boost output is normal. The test result is around 18V, indicating that the boost module has been replaced successfully.

Finally, use a hot glue gun to fix the boost module.

Note:

There is a small amount of tin on the pins on the back of the module. When using a hot air gun to fix the boost module, do not touch the copper sheet on the hash board, otherwise it may cause a short circuit.

Using the Antminer 18V boost module can effectively solve the problem of the Antminer S19 hash board that cannot be repaired by chips due to the detachment or damage of the boost circuit pad, and quickly repair the hash board so that it can operate normally and stably.
