Installation method for Whatsminer M32S upgraded water cooling kit

Whatsminer M32S upgraded water cooling plate kit is a specifically designed efficient cooling system for M32S miner. It cleverly utilizes the high heat capacity and slow temperature rise characteristics of water, along with widened water channels, providing an efficient environmentally-friendly heat dissipation solution for the hash board.

Compared to traditional air-cooling systems, the M32S water-cooling system does not rely on cooling fans for heat dissipation, greatly reducing noise interference caused by high-speed fan operation. It drives liquid circulation with a water pump to quickly dissipate heat generated by the hash board, ensuring the miner maintains optimal performance during high-load operation. Upgrading the Whatsminer M32S miner to water cooling is an economical and efficient choice.

Specific retrofit steps are as follows:

1. Turn off the miner, disconnect the power cord from the power socket, unplug the inlet fan plug, next remove the fixing screws of the protective cover plate above the control board.

2. Disassemble the inlet cooling fan and its baffle, then take off the adapter plate, unscrew the fixed screws of the conductive copper sheet, then carefully remove the three hash boards.

3. Remove the heat sinks on both sides of the hash boards, and then use a cleaning cloth dipped in circuit board cleaning solution to remove the thermal grease and dust on the board. (After the long-term operation of the miner, the performance of the thermal grease may decline, recommended to replace it with new thermal grease.)

4. Squeeze an appropriate amount of 4.0W thermal grease onto the smooth surface of the back side water cooling plate, use a scraper to distribute the grease evenly, then align it with the corresponding screw holes and tighten its fixing screws.

5. According to the length of a row of ASIC chips on the hash board, cut the Whatsminer thermal conductive silicone strip to a suitable length (about 30 cm), and then stick them to the chip surfaces, ensuring a tight fit without bubbles and gaps. Then place the front side water cooling board aligned with the hole positions and fix its screws.

6. Retrofit the other two hash boards with the same method, then place them back into the miner case. Tighten the conductive copper sheet's screws, then install the adapter plate.

7. Insert the 4pin square port fan speed simulators into the fan interfaces of the control board to replace the original cooling fan and connect other cables, next align the board with the screw holes to install, finally tighten its fixing screws.

8. Cut the water pipe into small sections of about 10-15cm, which connect the water cooling plate connectors to the 1~6 water separators (as shown in the following figure), and secure it with clamps to avoid water leakage.

9. Next, we need to assemble the Lianli water cooling row, the steps are as follows:

(1) First, install the radiator base, then assemble the water pump bracket and fix it to the radiator with screws.

(2) Place the water pump in the bracket, then snap on the corresponding buckles.

(3) Cut a suitable length of water pipe to connect the water pump and the upper outlet of the water-cooling radiator.

(4) Use 2 water pipes to connect the water inlet of the external radiator and the water pump outlet to the lower and upper water distributors respectively. Use hose clamps to ensure that the connections are tight.

(5) Add water cooling liquid to the water pump until the water level no longer drops. Start the radiator, continue adding coolant until the water level stabilizes, with the highest water level about 10cm from the water pump top.

10. Turn on the miner and radiator simultaneously, checking its operating status.
