Avalon PSU3400-03 quick installation power supply steps

The Avalon PSU3400-03 3400W power supply is suitable for the Avalon A13 A14 series BTC miners. As an integrated PSU, it is located on the right side of the front of the miner. The applicable models are Avalon A1346, A1366, A1446, and A1466. It is an indispensable and important component in the operation of the equipment.

How to determine power supply failure:

Abnormal powering may result in occasional shutdowns or even an inability to turn on the miner. Comprehensive diagnosis can be made by observing the miner's indicator lights, the status of the PSU interface, utilizing the miner's backend for troubleshooting, checking power connections and appearance, and using professional tools or software for detection.

If it is found through investigation that the power supply unit is faulty, we need to replace it in time to ensure stable mining of the equipment. The detailed operation steps are as follows:

a. Prepare tools and accessories: a new PSU3400-03 PSU, a screwdriver, and a multimeter (Optional: detect if the original power supply is damaged).

b. Before replacing, to prevent electric shock, turn off the miner and unplug the power cord from the socket.

c. Use a screwdriver to unscrew the screws that secure the power supply to the protective shell. Remove the protective shell, disconnect the cables connected to the control board and hash board, as well as the conductive copper bars, which also have screws to be removed. (Note: Mark and record each step of disassembly for correct reassembly later.)

d. Push the faulty power supply unit backward from the fixed clip and remove it.

e. Before installing the new power supply, check the model and appearance. If there are no issues, align the PSU clip with the machine socket, gently push it forward, align the screw holes with the positions to be fixed, and prepare for screw installation.

f. Tighten the screws again and reconnect all cables, correctly connecting the positive and negative terminals of the conductive copper bars. Install the miner's outer shell, plug the PSU interface into the power cord, and press the switch button.

g. After the miner has been running for several hours, check its operating status and performance again to ensure that the new power supply has not caused any issues.

Replacing the PSU3400-03 PSU ensures stable operation of the Avalon miner, avoiding adverse situations such as miner shutdown and hash rate drops due to powering issues, thereby improving mining efficiency and profitability.
