Usage method of the HY236 6W/mk thermal grease

HY236 thermal conductive grease is applied to the surface of the hash board ASIC chips to assist in heat dissipation. It's specifically designed to suppress high temperatures, with a thermal conductivity coefficient of 6.0W/m-k, and performs normally within a wide temperature range of -20~150℃. It does not crack after long-term use and effectively helps the chip dissipate heat, thereby extending its service life.

High temperatures can cause irreversible damage to the ASIC chips, thereby affecting the overall hash rate of the miner. Therefore, we must regularly inspect and replace the thermal conductive grease on the chip's surface to ensure the machine's best performance. With its excellent performance, HY236 6W grease has become the best replacement choice for the thermal paste of the hash board of the Antminer Whatsminer series miners. It is a new thermal conductive interface material with more vital thermal conductivity, better adhesion, softer texture, and easier cleaning.

The specific replacement steps for the thermal conductive paste of the hash board are as follows:

1. Disassemble the miner, remove the hash boards from the case, and place them on an insulated workbench.

2. Remove the heat sinks on the front of the hash board, then use a dust removal cloth dipped PCB cleaning solution to remove the dust and thermal grease on its surface.

3. Select a hash board grease template corresponding to the miner model and place it on the front of the hash board. Ensure all its holes are perfectly aligned with the ASIC chips, preventing the thermal conductive paste from being applied to areas other than the chips.

4. Take an appropriate amount of HY236 pink thermal conductive paste and apply it to the grease template. Use a scraper to distribute it evenly from the center to the surroundings to form a thin layer (about the thickness of an A4 paper is the best).

5. Gently remove the template and check the application of the grease. If bubbles, impurities, or uneven application are found, slightly adjust it with a scraper.

6. Reinstall the heat sinks to the hash board. And use the same method to replace the thermal grease for the other two hash boards, next, assemble the miner.

7. Power on the miner to observe the temperature data of the hash boards through its background, ensuring effective heat dissipation.
