Tutorial on correct installation of Iceriver miner silencer box

The silencer box can help miners operate with low noise. It can also reduce the equipment temperature and effectively isolate dust in the air. The noise can be reduced from 90db to around 40-50db. After noise reduction, the sound is similar to that of an electric fan.

The Iceriver noise reduction box adopts high-density PVC board. The box body and the interior are lined with soundproof cotton, which is fireproof and easy to insulate sound. It is equipped with a powerful temp control system, featuring a windless power-off function and a high-temperature protection power-off device. It is suitable for Iceriver KS5M, KS5L, KS3M, KS3L, KS3, KS2, KS1, etc.

I. Understanding the silencer box and preparations for installation

1.The core equipment operating motor, whose main function is to cool and reduce the noise of the miners. Both the outside and the inside of the silencer box are covered with a thick layer of soundproof cotton.

2.The left picture shows the air inlet of the noise reduction device, and the right picture shows the air outlet, which can inhale air and expel heat.

3.Fan speed switch, with three gears: low speed, medium speed, and high speed. The wind speed can be controlled by turning the button. We generally use low or medium speed when the ambient temperature is low, as shown in the left picture. We generally use high speed when the ambient temp is high, as shown in the right picture.

4.Prepare installation accessories for Iceriver miners: aluminum foil hose, air cooling cover, metal bayonet, and cooling fan simulator.

II. Steps for installing the silencer box for Iceriver miners

1. Remove the protective case of the PSU, remove the power supply fan, and install the PSU fan simulator. Connect the PSU fan deceiver to the corresponding interface of the power supply board, install the shell, and tighten the screws.

2. Next, install the miner fan simulator, remove the control board shell, and remove the four cooling fans of the Iceriver miner. Prepare the corresponding number of 4-pin or square 4-pin fan simulators and insert them into the corresponding fan interfaces on the control board.

3. To facilitate placing the Iceriver miner inside the soundproof box, we need to disassemble the aluminum shell on the side of the silencer box without the motor.

4. Then place the miner with the air inlet facing inward into the box, aligning it with the air outlet of the soundproof box motor. Place the end of the miner with the network cable interface facing outward. Carefully and precisely adjust the relative positions of the miner and the muffler to ensure they are tightly combined. Re-fix the disassembled aluminum shell of the silencer box with screws.

5. Connect the network cable and power cable for the miner, and plug the other side of the power cable into the PDU.

6. Install the air cooling shield with screws and connect the aluminum foil hose.

7. Finally, cover the muffler cover and fix it with screws.

8. After all the installations are completed, we will power on the silencer box. Then, according to the ambient temperature, we select the temp gear, and finally, power on the miner inside.

9. After running for a period of time, the noise will be effectively reduced, and dust in the air can be effectively isolated, which will be very beneficial for the operation of the miners.

Installing the soundproof box for Iceriver miners not only eliminates noise pollution but also makes it difficult for dust to enter and damage the machine and the power supply board. It not only ensures the safe operation of the equipment but also greatly extends the service life of the equipment. Even after a long time of use, the machine is still as clean as new and keeps working coolly 24 hours a day.
