SN7407N is a hexadecimal buffer/driver in a 14-pin DIP package. It has a high-voltage open-collector output, which is used to connect with a high-level circuit (MOS) to drive a high-current load. It also has the characteristic of being used as a buffer for driving TTL input. The minimum breakdown voltage of SN7407 is 30V, and the maximum sink current is 40mA. The device executes the Boolean function Y=A with positive logic. The input is diode clamped to minimize transmission line effects, thus simplifying the design.
