The W25Q16JVSSIQ is a serial flash memory chip located on the Avalon 850 control board, providing a storage solution for systems with limited space, pins, and power. W25Q16JV supports SPI clock frequency up to 133MHz. When using fast-read dual/quad I/O instructions, the equivalent clock rate of dual I/O is 266MHz (133MHz x 2), and the equivalent clock rate of quad I/O is 532MHz (133MHz x 4). These transfer rates are better than standard asynchronous 8-bit and 16-bit parallel flash memory. Additionally, the device supports JEDEC standard manufacturer and device IDs as well as SFDP registers, a 64-bit unique serial number, and three 256-byte security registers.
