According to reports, 36 cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are awaiting approval by the US SEC. At present, the US SEC has approved 4 Bitcoin-related ETFs, the most notable of which is the Ark 21 Shares Bitcoin ETF jointly created by 21 Shares and ARK Invest. Among the 36 funds to be reviewed, the latest application came from AXS Investment on October 27. They are AXS Bitcoin Strategy ETF and AXS Short Bitcoin Strategy ETF. The vast majority of funds to be listed seek to purchase BTC or its futures and derivatives directly. Some funds have adopted a mixed strategy, investing only part of their assets in BTC, while the remaining assets are invested in US stocks or blockchain stocks. However, three funds focus on matching the performance of ETH. They are VanEck Ethereum Trust, Wisdomtree Ethereum Trust, and Kryptcoin Ethereum Trust.
