According to the latest policy, the US and the EU have recently announced a series of new customs tariff adjustment policies.
Ⅰ. US import tariff adjustment
The US has officially cancelled the $800 tax-free policy. From now on, all express shipments imported into the US will be subject to a minimum tariff of 10%. Please note the following adjustments:
1. All express shipments sent to the US must fill in the HS CODE.
2. Express shipments with a declared value of ≥ $250:
(1) Individuals must provide SSN (ID number);
(2) Enterprises must provide EIN (corporate tax number).
3. Personal express delivery (B2C): DTP (tariff prepayment) must be used, and the charge is 2% of the tariff or RMB 150/ticket (the higher of the two).
4. Commercial express delivery (B2B): The $800 tax-free quota has been cancelled, and the tariff payment issue must be communicated in advance.
Ⅱ. EU tax-free policy adjustment
The 150 euro tax-free has been cancelled, and a new package handling fee has been added.
1. Imported goods must meet European safety and quality standards;
2. Detailed cargo information must be provided before the goods arrive in the EU;
3. The tax exemption policy for low-value goods with a value of no more than 150 euros has been cancelled, and all goods must undergo a complete customs inspection;
4. Consider charging a processing fee for each package to cope with the cost of handling discarded goods.
Hope all friends are aware of the above tariff adjustments.
