CNBC reporter: Chinese logistics company is airlifting Bitcoin mining machines to Maryland, USA

2021/6/22

CNBC Beijing correspondent Eunice Yoon shared a picture of Bitcoin mining equipment being packaged and ready for air shipment on Twitter on Monday. Fenghua International, a logistics company based in Guangzhou, told CNBC that it was airlifting 3000 kilograms (6,600 pounds) of machines to Maryland. Thomas Heller, a chief commercial officer of Compass Mining, said the weight is "approximately 200 S19s." Heller said that 3000 kg sounds like a lot, but compared to the number of miners shipped regularly, this is only a small batch.
