According to reports, the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, stated that Bitcoin will become legal tender on September 7 and the U.S. dollar will continue to circulate. The use of Bitcoin will be optional. Salaries and pensions will continue to be deposited in U.S. dollars. On June 9th, Beijing time, the El Salvadoran Parliament passed the "Bitcoin Law", announcing that Bitcoin has become the country's legal tender.
