According to reports, the digital asset mining company Core Scientific mined 1,044 bitcoins in December, bringing the total number of mining for the whole year to 5,769. According to Wednesday's announcement, as of the end of the year, Core Scientific held 5,296 BTC (approximately US$248 million at current prices). Core Scientific's total number of mining in 2021 exceeds the 3,452 and 3,197 of Bitfarms and Marathon Digital. Core Scientific operates approximately 67,000 ASICS miners with a hash rate of 6.6 EH/s.
