The first real estate purchase with bitcoin was reportedly registered in Colombia last week. The company, La Haus, sold a Santa Marta property to a buyer who was not in Colombia at the time of the purchase. Online real estate firm La Haus mediated the purchase after receiving a reserve of 0.03 BTC a month ago. The purchase was recently made by a buyer not located in Colombia, so the operation was done using the Lightning Network through payment processor Open node. About a month ago, the company announced that it would accept bitcoin to book and pay for every apartment in Natura City, a Santa Marta development with 160 units for sale.
