The Ukrainian militant group Comes Back Alive received $400,000 in bitcoin donations in a single day since Russia launched an armed attack on Ukraine, blockchain analysis firm Elliptic has reported. Jess Symington, head of research at Elliptic, said, "Since August 2021, they've received very, very few donations -- not a lot at all; maybe $4,000 or $5,000 a month. Then all of a sudden, donations start around February 22nd. Soaring." Come Back Alive received about 370 individual donations on Thursday, with the average amount between $1,000 and $2,000.
