Bitcoin miner Argo Blockchain has reportedly raised its 2022 hash rate guidance to 5.5 EH/s, a nearly 50 percent increase from its previous guidance of 3.7 EH/s, mainly driven by mining rigs using Intel’s new chips. CEO Peter Wall said in a statement that Argo is well-positioned to continue growing with our mining operations at Helios expected to begin in May and the development of custom mining machines using Intel's next-generation Blockscale ASIC chips. And focus on serving our shareholders. In earlier news, chip giant Intel (INTC) launched its second-generation bitcoin mining chip, called "Intel Blockscale ASIC," which will provide miners with more efficient mining equipment than most models on the market. Bitcoin miners Argo Blockchain, Hive Blockchain, Griid Infrastructure, and giant Block (formerly Square) will be among the first customers to receive the new Intel Blockscale ASICs.
