According to reports, Dubai-based retail giant and mall operator Majid Al Futtaim recently announced a strategic partnership with Binance, which will see the two parties collaborate on multiple crypto and blockchain projects. First, Majid Al Futtaim will integrate Binance Pay, allowing millions of customers to pay with cryptocurrencies "in multiple locations by appropriate laws and regulations." According to Changpeng Zhao, 29 shopping malls, 13 hotels, and four multi-purpose communities now accept cryptocurrencies through Binance Pay. Majid Al Futtaim operates in 17 countries, according to the company's investor presentation in February this year. The group has 29 shopping malls in five countries in the Middle East and North Africa, including Mall of the Emirates, Egypt, Mall of Oman, and Mall of Saudi Arabia. In 2021, its shopping malls will receive 175 million tourists. Majid Al Futtaim also operates 423 Carrefour stores in 16 countries in the Middle East and has exclusive franchises in more than 30 MENA and CIS regions.
