According to reports, the bitcoin mining company HIVE Blockchain will produce a total of 4,752 bitcoins in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 18%. As of today, HIVE holds a total of 2,348 bitcoins, worth over $38 million. According to HIVE, in the fourth quarter of 2022, HIVE strategically sold some bitcoins to increase cash reserves and fund expansion opportunities in bear markets. In addition, HIVE Blockchain produced 213.8 bitcoins alone in December, and its energy price hedging and grid balancing strategies generated an additional income of $3.15 million. As of December 31st, HIVE has a total hash rate of 2.06 EH/s. HIVE says it has currently listed 1,423 HIVE BuzzMiner bitcoin miners powered by Intel Blockscale.
